Trigun/ Trigun Maximum the manga was VASTLY different from the 90s show, which is very different from this retelling. If folks can watch it as an alternate universe retelling and manage their expectations, then they'll be able to give it a fair shake.

The visuals are really good, but they've made a bunch of minor changes that change the whole feel of the show. Vash isn't pretending to be a lucky normie, he is being overtly superpowered. There doesn't seem to be any Milly. I agree, this is a crime. Meryl and her partner are now reporters instead of insurance investigators. Then there's the name "Million Knives" being mentioned in episode 1. There's no more mystery to that relationship... It's a gorgeous looking show, but I feel like they messed too much up. I don't know if I'm going to keep watching it for myself. If I stop thinking of it as "Trigun" and I think of it as a fanfiction of Trigun, I might be able to stand it better. Who knows, maybe it gets better.... I just feel like they gave up substance in exchange for the "rule of cool."

Things I love about it so far: Vash, The Music and your reaction ;D
But for real its a great experience watching the show together with you since I haven't watched the original and you have and I love the insights what the original did different and that makes me want to watch it after Stampede.
I'm not really bothered by the animation most of the times but sometimes it looks kinda weird but maybe I'll get used to it over time. But the more action-packed sequences look really good in my eyes. I can't wait for more and I'll definitely stick around and watch every reaction if you continue with it :D
Oh and I love Buggy's VA of course xD
