well... It has disadvantages. The user need to touch the victim and it has no defensive capabilities. And we don't know if it will wokr against al Logia within his element. Devil Fruits are like Rock, Paper, Scissors. A lot of people are capable to put up countermeasures or disable the user from Distance.
