I would go as far to say that he's a present-day Homer (not the yellow one), writing the Epic of our times. The man knows where to take a plot point to its logical conclusion, and lets you simmer over what that conclusion would be, without letting it seem predictable. He crafts a world that can be not only silly and fun, but tragic and heartwrenching at the same time, and lets it feel natural within its own logic and rules. 2. Whatever those 20 kings did to form the WG, we know it had to be something big and destructive, since someone went through the trouble of making those ancient weapons, and leaving directions on where to find them. Then you have the Will of D, Joyboy, all the poneglyphs, and how desperate the WG is in keeping it all secret. To this day, it is still one of the biggest mysteries on One Piece. 3. If I had a nickel for everytime Luffy became good friends with a pink-haired princess, I would have to nickels. Granted, its not a lot, but its weird it happened twice.
