- Gear Second! Even after all these years, that is Luffy's iconic pose. - BTW, Kiwi is named after the Kiwi bird found in New Zealand, not the fruit. Mozu is also named after a bird; mozu is the Japanese name for the bull-headed shrike, which is a common bird in Eastern Asia. - Zoro's move "Enbima Yonezu Oni Giri" is like a next level pun. He has a lot of moves that end with "Oni Giri", which means "Ogre Slash" but also is a pun for onigiri, aka Japanese rice balls. "Enbima Yonezu" means "Charming Demon Sleepless Night", so the full move would be "Charming Demon Sleepless Night Ogre Slash". But the *real* reason it's called something that elaborate is if you split up the words differently, it also sounds like "ebi mayonezu onigiri", which is "Shrimp Mayonnaise Rice Balls". Amazing.

In the minds of most of the fanbase, it's "Gear Second" and not "Second Gear", the subtitles say it backwards from the way that Luffy says it. In my opinion, switching the order in the subtitles negatively effects the impact of this scene. Especially with the tease at the end of the fight where Luffy says "Gear" and the subtitles say "Third...". I know that's a super minor annoyance, but it's basically a spoiler! 🤦 Crunchyroll, Why? I'm never one to complain about people mispronouncing things, don't change how you say it on my account. I'm only annoyed at the subtitles here, not with you haha
