2021-11-01 12:08:34 +0000 UTCto all who say that skypia is a boring arc, yes i often have the feeling that it is not quite as exciting as others and it could be because we don't have the typical pirate versus pirate or pirate versus mariene here. but it's an arc that will play a damn important role for the future of one piece. for all of you who don't want to believe me, check out the video from youtuber "ohara" from 4 days ago where he talks about the one piece. and for you boom, do your thing and just keep watching. you should probably not see the video of ohara because it contains spoilers. and sry if the "advertisement" I did for another youtuber is not wanted here

Plus this arc is not skipable because it sets up future events you maybe a little lost without it. There was something you didn't notice Gan Fall had something at his house no one else did you noticed but you didn't notice. And you asked for a clue it was actually there just another hard detail to notice

2021-07-26 10:32:44 +0000 UTCTbh my biggest issue with this arc is that it felt a thousand times longer than any other arc (even on a rewatch) and while it's still amazing, it felt like... fuck, I'm gonna have to say it, aren't I? An ordeal. It just took a lot longer. It's hella important and it's so good, but this and one other arc for me feel so drawn out that I can only rewatch key moments if I'm doing it as pure rewatch. And for being dragged through it the first time, I didn't really appreciate the series as much as I should have. That being said, I agree with everyone else on G8 being a worthwhile filler (it's the only one I liked/watched willingly) because while it's definitely pure filler, it is also just... a fun ride, and the character interactions are fking gold. Also, the besty remembers this way better than me (she has also watched it way more) because when Nami had the binoculars, she was like "Oh, this is when Nami sees the ***** **** ** *** *****" and shit and I had completely forgotten that was a thing lmao. Enjoyed this as always! Can't wait for next time. Poor bby Chopper. He needs hugs.

I believe it's just tough for a show that's been running this long, that everything, even the normal stuff will be compared to its highs.

Most of the time it's either the arc where someone caught up to the series after bingeing it and it no longer feels as good because they have to consume it slower or they haven't watched it in a while and didn't appreciate it before due to being too young or not fully invested in the show yet. Even then, it's usually only considered "bad" in comparison to other arcs, not bad overall.

It's got it's awesome moments but, a lot of the between stuff is, well just kind of average for One Piece, especially if you don't have the mystery of 'what is going on?' to keep you invested. Plus, it's an overall average arc sandwhiched in between Alabasta, which you saw how hype it was, and the next arc which is.... well you will see (Bring tissues and something to lift your jaw off the floor). Though before that, after this arc is a filler arc, that is the G8 arc..... do not skip this! For a bit of context in how good this arc is, people who are doing reaction/reviews of the MANGA are told to go watch this arc when they get to that point of the story! Also...... oh damn that TMNT Dam level.... oh that freaking annoying PoS level in that hard AF game! But damn was it fun....... when I wasn't trying to snap a controller in half.
