Why Ink?

http://drawabox.com/article/ink

I talk a little (actually, a lot) about specifically why I promote doing my lessons in ink, specifically with fineliners/felt tip pens, instead of pencil or digital media.

Why Ink? Why Ink?

About ink and real life instruments. Having rather low income I try not to waste anything. I still do and feel horrible after. However, 0.6$ store is a great loophole to avoid that. Recently I have bought about 10 different 40 sheet albums (good paper) and even more checkered notebooks (average paper). Having "excess" makes me feel like I can waste some of it and drawing just lines felt like a waste of paper. However, since it's "cheap" and "excess" it gives subconscious "green" signal to use as much as needed. Even though I've used a little of real paper, going back to digital, it also breaks some barriers. Thus, I think that it's possible that some people would stop themselves even when there is enough materials. I'm speaking about those that have low-moderate income and had been following guideline "Do not waste!" all their lives. So, here. Another trick for the mind. I hope it was helpful. P.S. More than a year ago I have bought a great A3 album with really good paper quality. It's never been used.
