This week I bring you, engine updates, weeeee! (Queue the sounds of crickets chirping) All jokes aside, I am working on some big new mechanics, mainly, the Map battle system. Critters will now be able to attack you on the map, and you will be able to attack them. Combat skills like frost and fire bolt will now have more uses, weapons will become more important, and there will be fights against more than one enemy at a time.
This will also allow me to add fights against things you can't (or shouldn't) have sexy times with. (Which was becoming a narrative problem) After this update, there should be a lot more to do combat-wise, but it is going to take a couple of additional weeks to wrap up the basic implementation. This month, I will mostly be occupied with that, so not much art and writing will get done, but don't despair, these changes will allow for some very fancy content in the future.
