Update

Hi everyone,

Just thought I should write up a quick update because it's been a while with no activity. Really sorry about that, but I have been chipping away at coding both projects for the entirety of this month, and I am very happy to say that they are both on the cusp of completion. I just need to finish and add the game over sequence for Roxxie, and finish refining how QK's game over system works, and then both projects will be done.

With any luck, both demos will be out before the end of the month! That's my current goal, and then we can get back into animation and break this drought of content. Though if you ever want an update of how things are going, I stream Monday-Friday every week, at 9am AEST.

Speaking of the demo releases, I will soon be splitting off the QK project into it's own tiers. Given it's a smaller project, it will be a $3 tier for the art, and a $6 tier for the demo, as has been the plan from the start. With that little extra boost of income, I'm hoping I can make Patreon as a job financially viable.

In any case, I'm so sorry for how long the coding has taken this time around. The way Roxxie functioned was entirely new, and QK has been a lot of trial and error. Thank you so much for sticking with me over the course of this month, and we'll be back to our regularly scheduled squashing soon.

Thanks everyone!

Oh, there's been some desperate, buggy coding alright. Which just led to even longer bugtesting/fixing times! Heh. For such a precise, logical activity, coding really feels like an inexact science at times.

Programmer by profession here. Coding's hard, and just like a time estimation for a download or an install, one can never TRULY tell how long something will take, only make an estimate based on avialable data. Do what you gotta do. I'll be here, and take care of your sanity. Frustrated, desperate coding is buggy coding. Get enough sleep. <3

Yuni Hermit

Yeah, deadlines can make things more stressful as well for sure. lol

Doktor

It is! Though that is balanced with the constant worry of needing to get things out for Patreon in a timely manner, haha.

SquashedFlat

Yeah, coding can be a pain at times. That is for sure, I'm glad you are finally able to get things working! It is such a satisfying feeling when it all starts coming together.

Doktor

I mean releasing the demo in this month is already a huge progression.(not even mentioning that coding Roxxie was a whole new thing for you) Can't wait to try it out.

xddjoba

Thank you, but these are nowhere near actual completion! Still a loooot of work to go yet.

SquashedFlat

Thank you for the link! You deserve a massive vacation after you complete the 2 game😁👑

xddjoba

Thank you, Turless! I'm hoping for smoother sailing from here on out, but we shall see.

SquashedFlat

Alright

Nick Davis

I've been tempted to suspend Patreon for a month and just take a month off sometime. Maybe later in the year. And sure, I stream over at: https://picarto.tv/SquashedFlat

SquashedFlat

Maybe. Right now I'm working 5 days a week on the two projects, but haven't been able to split the second one off yet.

SquashedFlat

We're still a little while off the end of the Texas project, as this is just the *first* demo for the Roxxie fight. But I'm glad to hear it!

SquashedFlat

The QK project doesn't really have grabs, and the Roxxie one will not. It's just the base version of her. It will have a few fetishy moves and the game over sequence though.

SquashedFlat

To be honest, its ok if the codding takes time, because indeed, takes a lot of time, but working on both games its a good challenge, and the week u spended on Roxxie, was worth it as u can see ^^. Im really happy for how both games have been growing in general, my most sincere congratulations, hopefully in the following days you will have less difficulties, but if there is one, you will have the support of many to overcome that wall. Thanks for the update and have a good one ;3.

TurlessFX

Good to hear your fine. You'll need a massive break after you finish these projects. BTW can you lend me a link to the streams? I was looking for it but couldn't find it anywhere

xddjoba

A job with All butt crush and farting all the time? Living the dream, dude! If you have enough to make it full time, does that mean longer streams?

Bob Hoskins

aaaaaaa i cant wait~! I'm so happy to have seen your project, now projects from the very beginning! Cannot wait to play them both and see the end of Texas's long journey (until next time where something ELSE that disturbs the piece of her fair town~)

Heath Conner

Will the demo have grabs?

Nick Davis

I hope they are enjoyable!

SquashedFlat

Glad to see progress! Am really excited to see these games in action!

Nick Davis

I've actually been doing the two projects for almost a year now. I'm doing this instead of a fulltime job. And hopefully splitting this project off will make the income I receive more like a fulltime job too.

SquashedFlat

Much obliged! It might actually end up being two separate Patreon pages, as I don't think Patreon's going to make it easy to separate the projects.

SquashedFlat

Thank you.

SquashedFlat

Two projects at once? Youre going to burn yourself out if you dont finish one.

Jack Hazardous

Back to the code mines 'twas. Well, once you have the tiers thing figured I'll be happy to support both projects.

Razor_Wolf

Absolutely no worries mate, it’s important to not let yourself get overworked! Take all the time you need to, don’t stress, you’re doing fantastic! ❤️

Silvertail

Sounds awesome! Can’t wait for time world 2. I hope this works out for ya!

Jomonkey 27

After Texas in Trouble I am immediately going to start work on another project, yes. Most likely Time Wolf 2. Going forward, I'm going to have two running projects at any time, one big one (Texas, at the moment) and one smaller one (QK).

SquashedFlat

Alright. Thank you for answering my questions~! Have a nice day SquashedFlat

Jomonkey 27

I'm investigating the options on this. I'm hoping that I can simply make a $3 and a $6 tier, and that people can then support both (for example) the $5 Texas Tier and the $3 QK Tier. But if not, yes, I'll need to make some combined tiers, which will admittedly be a bit of a hassle. At that point I might just look at making a separate Patreon page entirely for QK

SquashedFlat

Ah alright. Well if that’s the case does that mean after texas in trouble is done your gonna immediately work on a sequal? Or once it’s finished it won’t get updated anymore so switching to QK is the next step. Sorry for all the questions, just wanna cover all the bases

Jomonkey 27

Admittedly, I did burn myself out hard in the middle, and basically took a week just to work on a standalone animation. Hopefully I can finish that one once the two projects are out. But thank you.

SquashedFlat

So will there be a tier that includes both the Texas and the QK stuff? Like it will be $16 to include the Texas Demo and the QK Demo?

Locorotor

No, I'm afraid not. This is what I mean about 'splitting it off'. From the beginning the plan has to split the QK game into its own separate tiers, not covered by the Texas tiers. And now that the game can stand on it's own, it's time to do that. Basically I'm offering two separate projects that people can support (or support both if they wish) covered under two separate tier systems. I even considered creating another Patreon for the QK project, but this is (probably) easier.

SquashedFlat

Thank you for the update. I can understand your frustration as you have two completely different projects that the coding is unique for each one. Glad to hear you have not burned yourself out. Keep up the good work.

Locorotor

Probably a stupid question but. With the sheriff tier.. the 10 dollar one we will be getting all the QK stuff right? Probably an obvious question as I said but I wanted to ask
