Remember the French woman Sayid met has been living alone for 16 years. When she was speaking tenderly to Sayid it was because she was desperate for human contact. Sayidβs backstory was both tragic and tender wasnβt it. One thing youβll notice as the series continues is itβs pace can be a bit slow. As the saying goes, all good things come to those that wait.
