Take my word for it, I know Photoshop very well. I spend not just hours, but entire days working on editing and reworking a single photo. I do this with pleasure and enthusiasm. Usually, I redraw the whole picture, adding not just space and background; I can even piece together parts of the model's body from adjacent shots within the session. I choose and form poses (gestures) that I believe work best for me, and then I present them to you.
Why am I telling you this?
Because despite all my enthusiasm, I almost never retouch the model's body (skin) or face. I’m always satisfied with her real, natural beauty. It’s rare for me to remove a blemish or smooth out a wrinkle.
I understand that many photographers may not agree with my principles, and that’s fine. Let them continue to enhance the appearance of their models.
As for my models, they don't need it. They are already perfect as they are.
PS: I only work with beautiful models — it must be fate..
