Just an accident

Sarah and Henry had been wandering around for days ever since they were both affected by the Shrinking Virus, Sarah was supposed to take care of her boyfriend when he was diagnosed with the virus, but their lives took a sudden turn when they both became the size of an ant. Not even Sarah's younger sister was able to recognize them and, she simply swept them away with a broom while cleaning, as if they were any insect or any trash on the ground.

Since then, the tiny couple was avoiding the gigantic feet of the women and girls who walked on the sidewalk without even noticing them. They felt too insignificant when they walked just inches away from the feet of the neighborhood women who stepped out onto their porches to catch up, without any idea that a tiny couple was walking between their feet.

Until one day, they were finally able to settle in the corners inside a house, Sarah and Henry prowled around the huge tiled floor looking for crumbs to eat, just when they knew no giantess would cross their path.



The next day...



"I'm starving... There's not a single crumb on the floor..." Sarah said, lying down in Henry's arms.

"The woman just ordered a pizza and brought it to her room... That's bad luck." Henry said, in a disappointed tone.

"We have to go out and find something... T-There has to be something we can eat..." Sarah stood up and tried to cheer up her boyfriend.

"The giantess hasn't left her room yet... What if she does come out just when we're in the middle of the hallway?" said Henry worriedly.

"The giantess must still be pretty asleep! We can't starve here... We have to try..." With that, Henry noticed his girlfriend's desperation, stood up taking her hand and they left their hiding place in search of food.

After almost half an hour of wandering around the ground, the tiny couple stopped, oblivious, in front of the stairs, unable to find anything to eat.

"This is useless... We won't find anything, unless that giantess helps us... We shouldn't have come out of hiding..." Sarah said, regretting going out and risking their lives.

"Hey, don't blame yourself... We had to try, right? Although... Maybe what you said is true... We should try to get the giantess's atten..."

CRUSHH

The giantess's foot fell on the tiny Henry just before he finished speaking.

"I know, mom, it'll only be a couple of hours and... What the...? Oh damm, I'm sorry... I guess..."

The giant woman looked at the tiny person on the ground a few inches from her foot, she lifted it up and looked at her sole, observing the tiny unfortunate man who was crushed under her weight.

"...Ugh, whatever... N-no, it's nothing, just a couple of tinies, listen... I just need you to take care of my daughter while I go to the grocery store, Could you?...? Aw, thanks...!"

The giantess simply ignored what had just happened and continued walking while talking on the phone, forgetting about the tiny person who would probably end up the same way as her boyfriend at any moment. She didn't even know that she was a tiny woman.
