Into Baba-Set's Temple [TEASER]

This won't be the most exciting batch of pages to read, but I can't tell you how much fun it is to conceive and render the architecture of the depths of Baba-Set's subterranean temple. Fans of the original Brides of Baba-Set comic will remember the long build-up before seeing the bull-ape himself, which I think establishes the stakes and tension and gives the Egyptian god his due gravitas.

In addition to that, these pages are fun for me just because I get to dabble in a type of drawing that I usually don't -- grand, majestic, mythical architecture. This scratches the LOTR and D&D side of my brain (you'll hopefully get some Moria vibes from these pages). Overall it just helps to establish a space and setting, which can be absent from a lot of my work (or at least less fantastical).

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more soon. We're almost at the chamber of the Great Defiler himself!

More Pillars! We need more pillars! πŸ˜… No, seriously, I think it's cool that you're taking your time here to depict the dimensions of his temple, thus raising the anticipation for the reveal of Baba himself. In my opinion, now he must be lying there with a fat belly, bored, while a concubine is at his beck and call, and a veritable caricature of his own idols.

These scenes are epic. I didn't read your description before looking at the pictures. My first thought was the underground halls of the dwarf kingdom in The Lord of the Rings. They are so majestic.
