Why call it pointless? It's not mandatory for a Bollywood movie to win the poll. The movie that gets the most votes regardless of the language or region wins. No one ever said this slot is reserved only for Bollywood films. It’s a combined slot meant for movies from all regions. If the majority of members want to watch a Hindi movie, then naturally it will win. But since most of the current Patreon members are from the South, the content often reflects their preferences. Still, Maryam is clearly trying her best to cater to everyone by balancing content between YouTube and Patreon. Just look at their YouTube channel,it has way more Bollywood content than South content, which makes sense because they want to reach the North Indian audience as well. But when the number of people on Patreon who want to watch Bollywood movies is comparatively lower, what can they really do? Just because a director is from the South doesn’t mean the movie becomes a South film. That logic makes no sense. Animal is a straight Hindi Film with a Hindi superstar playing the Lead Role. The current poll clearly includes two South movies and two Bollywood movies—so the selection is already balanced. If the Hindi audience can’t make their preferred movie win, that’s not on Maryam, the poll system, or anyone else. The poll reflects what the majority of voters want. It’s that simple. Sorry for the long message, but a short one wouldn’t have conveyed the point properly. Some things need clear explanation to avoid misunderstanding. Thank You.
