During this time, we've delved even deeper into refining the performance of the impressive 997 GT2. Porsche's intentional adjustment to this model's dynamics, resulting in a more understeer-prone behavior compared to previous GT2 iterations, caught our attention. This deliberate approach was aimed at taming the notorious "widow maker" reputation associated with its predecessors. The 997 design exhibits the quintessential Porsche essence, which slightly differs from the contemporary 991 and 992 models. The weight distribution, although improved over vintage 993s and 996s, still distinctly embodies the 911's DNA. The latest Porsches have achieved a remarkable neutral balance by comparison.
