The McLaren F1 GTR is a race car that was produced by McLaren Automotive. It is based on the McLaren F1 road car but has been modified for use in endurance racing. The F1 GTR made its debut in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it won the GT1 class and finished overall in third place.

One of the most notable features of the F1 GTR is its powertrain. It is powered by a 6.1-liter BMW V12 engine that produces 600 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. This allows the car to reach a top speed of over 200 mph and accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds.

The F1 GTR also has a unique aerodynamic design, which helps to increase downforce and improve handling. This is achieved through the use of a large rear wing, front splitter, and diffuser. Additionally, the car is made primarily of carbon fiber, which helps to keep its weight down to just 2,314 pounds.

The F1 GTR competed in several endurance races throughout the 1990s, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the BPR Global GT Series, and the FIA GT Championship. The car's success in these races helped to establish McLaren as a major player in the world of motorsports. In total, 28 examples of the F1 GTR were produced, with the majority of them being used for racing.

The McLaren F1 GTR is considered one of the most iconic race cars of all time, with its unique design and impressive performance. Many consider the F1 GTR to be one of the most successful endurance racers of all time, winning several races and achieving numerous podium finishes during its racing career. Today, the F1 GTR is highly sought after by car collectors and motorsports enthusiasts, with original examples selling for millions of dollars at auction.
