Welcome to 2023 - Part 2 (Public)

Well, 2023 is very much with us, but here in Sparkieland the party is not yet done – in fact it’s reaching that stage where the flowing champagne is loosening everyone up and lowering any remaining inhibitions. Not that Azziel and his imps actually have any inhibitions, of course: far from it!  From disguising themselves as Santa and his elves to lure poor innocent little Link into their clutches, to pouring champagne over He-Man while he lifts, the denizens of the Yfarnos underworld certainly know how to liven up a party!  Nor are they on their own; the girl, the redhead who captured and tormented Cupid at Valentine’s Day is up to her old tricks again – and has, with the aid of Ryan and Cody, brought the abused love-god up from the dungeon to be turned into the Christmas Fairy and stuck on top of the tree……

But currently all eyes are turned on He-Man as his casual display of effortless strength threatens to go horribly wrong. A fully-weighted bar, further burdened by six of the gang, is a mere nothing to the mighty hero. Or, rather, it wasn’t – until Vizz the imp mischievously spurted champagne all over his muscular torso, and Cringer the tiger (who loves the stuff) at once began to lick it off his master, causing the bar to tip and wobble alarmingly as He-Man dissolved into fits of helpless laughter from the tickling. Fortunately, owing to his strength, he is able to prevent the bar from falling and no injury results, and the whole party are able to join in the line-up for a final toast. Apart, of course, from Link and Cloud Strife – who remain firmly in the hands of their captors, who are definitely beginning the new year the way they mean to go on.

While Piers and Benet remain wrapped up in each other, Ryan and Cody seem to be fascinated by Sephy and Cloud – and the imps are making a play for Spidey and Cat Noir. Cringer is lying happily drunk, while treetop Cupid has at least now got a glass. Teela is at He-Man’s side – and so is the girl, who seems to be exceptionally interested in the hero’s big muscular body. He-Man had better watch out: looking at the way her hands are straying, it’s almost as if she’s plotting something…..

And so, beneath the silvery moon, the gang gather together to raise their glasses to welcome in 2023 – and to wish all their patrons a happy and successful year ahead. They can assure them that there is a fulsome feast of further fun awaiting – and that the entire gang will be unstinting in their efforts to entertain.
