Update // Running down that hill

I really need to stop using that one Kate Bush track as a coping mechanism...

So I don’t think I’m being hyperbolic when I say that I’m quite confident I went through a wormhole at the end of MCM May, skipped past June, July, August and September and came out just in time to do the prep all over again for MCM October.

That right there is all the setup props from the last event that I explicitly remember saying I’d put in the attic “tomorrow"...

Whichever way that happened, facts are that I’m back in the unfettered madness that is going through the 5 stages of convention grief: denial that you’re running out of time, anger about the price of overheads, bargaining with the printer to please spit out the last chunk of paper, depression after 14 consecutive sleepless nights and finally, acceptance that this was all self-inflicted and perfectly avoidable.

So in the spirit of getting through those as fast as I can, I’m gonna do like Sisyphus and roll that rock back uphill while keeping this update as tight and tidy as possible.

[ In closing ]

It’s going to be/already being a busy, busy month, so things are likely to be a little quieter on the art front until it’s over - largely due to MCM but also due to several of the pieces I’m working on being NDA or surprise Mystery Boxes - so as always, please bear with me and trust that I’m still pushing that boulder around in (mostly) the right direction.
