In addition to its restrictive and protective functions against chemicals and harmful substances, this uniform is corrective in nature. A prisoner's uniform is one of the main keys to the correction process at CDF. It determines the status of the prisoner for the guards, other inmates and himself, instilling in him modesty, accuracy and attention to details. At CDF we have very high standards that prisoners must adhere to at all times. This means that he must keep his umiform in absolutely perfect condition at all times. Of course, he is provided with everything necessary to effectively and safely perform his duties. For example protective apron or this thick rubber coat. Of course, such measures may bring some discomfort, but we don not see it as a major problem to talk about. CDF is not a luxury resort, inmates have to be ready to pay the price for their propoer correction. Anyway, the prisoner has no complaints about working conditions and undergoes regular medical examinations. So you have nothing to worry about.

-I have been holding my position as a public inspector for two years now, and I admit that I am a little surprised that we have not received a single complaint or petition from your institution. How long will he be busy with this work, may I talk to him later?

-The work schedule was approved by the management of the institution. The prisoner has sufficient rest breaks for reports every three hours. During this training period he will be performing this job for at least 6 days more. Unfortunately, we cannot interrupt his training course, but you may request official visit in next 7 months.

-The prisoner has strict instructions on behavior both inside his cell and inside a special work block. He is not allowed to make eye contact, attract attention, or talk without permission. -I wanted to ask whether such a long prison term frightens him and whether he intends to appeal the sentence?

-In his case, this is the final verdict - his lawyer made a deal with the court, the condition of which was to serve the full term of imprisonment in our correctional institution. Now he can be sure that he will leave СDF completely reformed person. Of course, it’s too early to talk about this - he has at least sixteen and a half years of correction ahead of him, however, we will make every effort to reform the prisoner.

- Is his work somehow paid for?

- At this stage, no, because, in fact, this is training, not work. After the expiration of the term of imprisonment, by such work the prisoner will pay for his maintenance in the CDF and the costs of his uniform and equipment that the CDF incurred during the entire period of his detention.
