When I haven't been working on my Biggest Commission Ever I've been following a Beginner's tutorial to familiarise myself with blender. And I just finished it!
A donut with chocolate icing and sprinkles, a cup of coffee and a plate. What I love about 3D is that it feels so much more tangible than 2D. I can almost touch it!
Learning a new tool can be so much fun, but I gotta admit 3D is kind of overwhelming. With 2D art it's like "yeah download a program and go wild!", you're sorta let loose upon the world, but 3D has so many aspects and variations and buttons and gizmos it's impossible without following a tutorial. Ticking a single box could break your entire object. Now that usually doesn't happen in Photoshop.
Next up I'm gonna start the intermediate course and create an anvil! Whoop whoop let's go!
