Centaur Tevruden [C]
Added 2019-04-20 12:36:48 +0000 UTCI've never painted a horse before, so this was a real challenge. I wanted to portray him as strong, stocky, yet also elegant like a descendant from a long line of noble centaurs. The idea was to create a painting that could easily be hanging above a giant fire place in giant mansion.
And with that in mind, I also tried to mimic more of an oil-painting style. You can see especially on the background and floor that the brushstrokes are rougher and more visible.
Either way, this was a super fun challenge and I'm so happy Tevruden decided to commission this fullbody painting!
