I'm glad Marvel came to their senses, threw out the episodes they made & started the show over again making it a sequel to the Netflix shows. It was said they saved 1 episode & I've seen speculation that that footage was mostly used for the 1st episode , but we don't know for sure I am pissed that they killed off Foggy right at the start, at the very least that should've been in the finale & maybe deal with the ramifications in season 2. We never learned who hired Bullseye & why he did it so maybe there's a good reason to come that will justify the choice to kill Foggy. Overall, these 1st 2 episodes don't quite feel exactly like the Netflix show, but it's still pretty damn good. Hopefully the show pulls in big numbers to tell Marvel to do more like this & less like Secret Invasion or She-Hulk.

Not many shows have the guts to kill off beloved characters, including Agents of SHIELD, which I consider the best Marvel show. They kept certain characters in SHIELD longer than they should have and sacrificed characters that could've had great development later, like Mace in the Framework arc because the writers feared the backlash. I may be in the minority, but I think they should've killed May in the Framework. Her whole story was about the guilt she felt for Bahrain. So, her seeing what the world could've been had she never killed the girl freed her from that guilt, and I think that would've been a good endpoint for the character getting that peace while also impacting the others in such big ways. Instead, they killed Mace, a character not many people liked at the start of season 4 and was never brought up again; so his death felt empty when he could've had a great development in season 5, where he had to deal with reality where he was a resistance leader and his original personality clashing with each other and may but heads with Coulson on how to lead the team now that he had experience being a leader. By season 5, I really felt no fear any of the OG characters were going to die because they missed too many opportunities to do it. Daredevil actually went through with it and is showing the ramifications of what Foggy's death has had on Matt. And fans are actually sad and angry like Matt is. It's also higher stakes because it feels like anyone can die now. However, it feels like it is repeating what Defenders did. Matt gave up being Daredevil after Elecktra died and now again with Foggy. Also, when you think about it, this is the third time Daredevil has gone AWOL. First, after Electra died, the second when everyone thought Matt died in Defenders, and now again when Foggy died. Fisk was also called Kingpin in Hawkeye and Echo. Clint called him this several times. Not once did Clint ever call him Fisk. And Maya and many of his underlings referred to him as Kingpin multiple times.

Sidebar- Game of Thrones (up to season 6) Stranger Things & DareDevil are the only shows that have moved me emotionally in the last 20 years (I find everything else predictable) when Matt screamed so did I, FML
