March 2025 - Monthly Renders

Good morning Citizens,

I hope everyone is doing alright. We're entering April and time has been flying. I've been brainstorming ideas as to what I want to do next for SL and I've decided to finally start Ferry's arc. The plan will be to finish this arc, then create a new Scarlet Law Part II (or something) in which we'll continue the story from a totally "new" game. We're about 60% done with main story (not including side ideas that I have) and I think this is a good time to have a separate version of the game. I'm still on the fence about this but basically, this will be a totally new game (just called part II and with the same assets) that picks up where we left off. Most/all of the old scenes will no longer be available.

The main reason for this idea is because:

1.) People are losing their saves and don't want to start from the very beginning. I thought about providing an option to start from somewhere in the mid way point but I figure this will be better. The problem, however, is that you won't be able to view content from the older version of the game (Scarlet Law Part I).

2.) The file size is getting too big for mobile. There is a limit to how much size a mobile game can be had on Android (the limit is 2 GB, and we are currently at about 1.9 GB). As such, it would be better to start a part 2 version of the game and delete a lot of the older assets to make room for new stuff. (Again, this means that we will be losing most of the older content. You would have to play the final version of Scarlet law Part I to view the old material).

3.) This is actually quite common for several large h-games.

Again, I'm still on the fence about this. I think it's a good idea to start this after Ferry's arc but we'll see. I can only compress the files so much before it affects the quality of the game.

As for 0.3.19, I'm estimating maybe 3-4 updates to complete this arc. It's an idea I had for a very long time, just that I didn't feel like Ferry was a very popular character. We'll see how it goes. I've gotten a lot of good feedback on previous girl stories, so hopefully, this one lives up to expectations.
