Scarlet Law 0.3.18 - Early Access

Features:

• Side scene with Altina

• The files were compressed, so don't mind that this version is smaller in size compared to the previous. This is intended.

Known Issues:

• A lot of older code doesn't work for newer characters (e.g. gifting/working at Laureate)

• There might be a bug that is affecting saves whenever you use the lewd button to acquire affection. I believe I fixed this but if you see any problems, please let me know.

Minor Changes:

• Fixed some minor typos and text sizes.

• Seasonal event is a long scene... one time only. Might be removed in future update maybe.

Good day Citizens,

It's been 3 months since the last SL update, and I do sincerely apologize for the wait. I was finally able to finish version 0.3.18 thanks to Spring Break, in which I focused the entire week off to work on SL. This update is a side scene that involves Altina. It's supposed to be a short, lewd, and just fun update. I know that a lot of you prefer more serious content, but I think it's really fun to mess around and not constantly think about serious stuff every once in a while. I feel that the content I work on usually affects my mood. So when I work on funny/stupid stuff, I feel more happy compared to when I have to write about people dying or something. I remember feeling this way when I was working on Rita's arc and I just couldn't wait to finish it so we can work on more peaceful stuff. Speaking of which, I actually got a lot of good feedback for the schoolgirls, which I'm a little surprised.

So I have to immediately hop back to classes again. Spring Break was actually really intense for me because I wanted to have this update out and I worked my butt to finish it. But now, it's Monday and it's more dying. I have about 6-7 more weeks of this crap before I'm free for the Summer. We'll see what happens, but I do feel like I should be trying to find an internship or something, for experience and to support myself. I've been (rightfully) losing money every month since I started taking classes, so I need to bounce back somehow. It's no one's fault but my own, and I strongly felt that I had to do this to move forward with my life.

Moving on...

For 0.3.19, I think I want to do like a really long Viera update, but we'll see how it goes. Viera is probably my favorite character, and I have a ton of ideas to work with her. I don't know when this update will be ready, but I do want it to be really good since I like her a lot. I've had ideas for her for years now, and I'm so happy that I'll finally be able to work on her a bit. I'll try to start script this weekend, hopefully when I have free time, but classes are already picking up. Shit doesn't make any sense. But we're gonna keep pushing.

Also, to the mobile users out there, I heard that my game is like the only game where save files get deleted when users delete/re-install the app. I'm going to look into this some more and see what's going on. I believe it's because of where and how Ren'py saves it's files by default and I believe that I need to edit where saves go on your device. If anyone has any advice on this, let me know. I tried using AI code for it, but it failed. I'm going to look into it some more later, but it's low priority, especially since I'm going to be crazy busy again.
