Features:

• A lot of old code hasn't been updated for new chars (e.g. gifts, working, etc.)

Minor Changes:

• Prices for dates to the beach dropped from $2,000 to $1,000.
• Flowers now scale at higher values as the game progresses.
• Money collecting from working increased to scale even higher as game progresses. Serena provides the lowest scaling.
• Flower cap has been increased by almost double.
• The price to donate to the church reduced from $150 to $75.

Thoughts on 0.3.2

Good morning everyone,

Alrighty, so 0.3.2 is finally here and it could have probably been released earlier had I not wanted to make an extra scene for lewdness sake. In hindsight, I do kind of regret doing that extra scene because it took an extra 10 days to do it and a lot of people complain to me about consistency with scenes/story and don't generally like side scenes (as opposed to focusing on just one character).

I think next time, I would just rather release the game earlier even if it doesn't have nudity or enough content, but every time I seem to think that, I find myself trying to scramble for more content in the update.

So for this update, there's over 420 renders I believe, and it's definitely one of the bigger updates. It might seem smaller to you because it's really just story content. But for me, this was one of the most time-consuming updates due to me messing around with new angles, new characters, and trying to keep the story consistent.

We last left off in 0.3.1 with our hero getting caught for his degeneracy and peeking on Altina during her confession. 0.3.2 will continue on from there. We'll see how Altina responds to our hero as he attempts to apologize to her. 

I do get some comments/DM's from time to time where people argue that something doesn't make sense in the game. One of the most common complaints would be how our hero is a "bitch" and that he shouldn't lose to a girl. I just want to remind everyone that this game is based off of weeby anime shit, so expect scantily-clad girls to kick your ass and be stronger than you (for the most part). The reason I'm bringing this up is because this update will be very weeby and anime-ish. Please don't take it too seriously.

If you've been keeping up with the story, there are 4 out of 6 Champions currently in Scarlet. We've already met Rapunzel, and will be meeting two more of the Champions in this update. One of the champions took almost a year before I was finally satisfied with how she looked. I'm not kidding, every time I went to mess around with characters, she always ended up being edited on. I think I'm happy with how she looks right now, but in hindsight, I wish I gave her longer hair but long hair is hard to make a sex scene for... due to physics of the hair.

Altina's arc will be ending in the NEXT update. As of right now, I'm thinking about making her Scarlet Contract $15,000 but may drop it to $10,000 depending on the mood. I've boosted the scaling of a lot of the ways you can make money in the game, so hopefully, the never feels TOO grindy. I honestly think we're in a good spot right now for money but my opinion might be different than yours.

The last thing I want to talk about is the future of SL. I should probably invest some time to make a roadmap or something but after this update, we'll conclude Altina's arc, then probably hop over to either "side scenes" (where we can vote for stuff!) or I work on the school. The school is going to be fun but might be one of those super long updates since there's a dozen assets/code that I'll have to mess with. We'll see how it goes.

We lost a ton of Patrons this month, which is unfortunate, but I have faith that we'll continue to grow. I believe my New Year's Resolution for 2022 was to reach 500 Patrons this month. We're currently at about 300, so we'll probably not make that goal in 3 months. I do kind of want to work on a separate game as a side project but I'm not entirely sure if I want to make it a sandbox. Trust me, it's a lot more code and time needed to get this thing to work. It might just be a short VN. I haven't started on it yet and there is a long way to go.
