Character Preview #1 - Adeline

Today I decided to start a potentially new segment called "Character Previews" in which I share some character ideas that I've been working on lately. Today's showcase is Adeline, the Elf Maid who serves Miss Marie Madison "Maple" Mablethorpe (names pending). Note that not everything is final and I may or may not scrape the whole character in the future (as I've already done so in the past).
The idea of this character came after browsing around the web at character designs and I realized that I didn't have a single elf character in SL. I'm not sure if most people like elf-girls, but I thought it'd be interesting to have one since SL deals with magic/fantasy/etc.
This is the 3rd (and probably the final) maid that I'm thinking of introducing into SL soon-ish. Yes, I know that three is already a lot but I thought it would be fun to have another character have their own maid as a side character (well, I suppose Ferry also fits this niche).
Ferry and Violetta already have stories of their own that will eventually come to light. Adeline, however, will be more of a side character who you'll see pop up every so often to assist her "Master". The point of this character and some of the students is to just have some characters that don't really have a story but you'll see every so often. I think it'll, again, make the game feel more worldly.
Also, if you don't like seeing these types of posts, LMK here. I can certainly understand that some posts end up appearing spammy when it doesn't contain the actual update for a game. I personally like to keep my mailbox very organized. Anyway, here are some fancy screenshots of Adeline.

I'm not opposed to the character in theory, but I am slightly concerned about how the addition of a new species might screw with the internal logic of the setting. Things were already dicey enough with the introduction of human/animal hybrids as a persecuted class -- where do elves fall in this hierarchy? Come to think of it, if elves and half-animals were a species beneath humans, then that would make them a cheaper and easier alternative to the Scarlet Contracts -- why shell out thousands of dollars to buy a woman when you could enslave an elf or a half-animal for pennies? It might not necessarily be the worst thing to open this can of worms, but you should at least be aware that you're doing it and be ready for it. If you're going this route, I hope you've thought it through.
