Dev Diary #21 - 0.2.0 is ready

Hey Happy Patrons,

At long last, 0.2.0 is finally ready to be released. What started as wanting to only fix the character screens/older events ended up becoming a completely new venture. SL 0.2.0 will be a totally new game but with the same characters and plot. That being said, I am reviewing all of the old scenes and adjusting them slightly. This is not a copy/paste project.

Some notes going into this update...

• You must start a new game. Old saves can no longer be loaded and played.
• Replaying events from previous updates are no longer possible.
• There are only three events in the game atm (prologue, 1 Silvia event, and Estelle's contract). Unfortunately, there isn't any XXX yet, just titillation.
• You can skip time by hover/clicking on the time of day on the bottom right. It's explained on the tutorial but just figured I'd say it here too in case you miss it.
• Estelle's contract might be too much right now (It's $5,000). The main reason for this is because I didn't want players buying her contract immediately, but since there isn't much content at the moment, it might feel like a huge gap between the contract and the previous event. In a future update, this might be adjusted.
• Working at the store gives you money. You now have the option of working Part-time, Full-time, or Overtime to get more money from the day. However, time will pass much faster if you choose to use these options. You can also make money from selling flowers, which (from my tests) is faster than working but requires more clicking.
• There is now a WAIFU TAX. This is essentially a tax that will automatically deduct money every Saturday (after you go to bed). If you don't have enough money, it's GAME OVER so always have money available. The price of this tax is based on the number of girls you own/live with within your household.
• I'm experimenting with gifting. It's currently not available in this update.
• I will probably add a little icon of each girl to the map so that you can see where the girls are located in. But atm, I'm focused on content. Not sure when this will be implemented.
• As far as I know, there aren't any bugs. But if you see any, please let me know either on Discord or here.
• $10 Patrons will not only be able to access the gallery immediately, but they'll be able to see all characters from the start and receive $99,999 at the start of the game. Money, however, resets every update. This is to keep money balanced within the game.

Thanks so much for sticking with me for this month. Although it may feel like there isn't a lot of content, this is the largest update of SL. Hopefully with the foundation of the game set, I'll be able to bring out more content in the next update. Speaking of which, we will be holding a poll within a few days to decide which of the current character's scenes I should work on. I think we all know who is going to win but it's still worth a shot.
