But I'm over the moon with this adaptation bc it's SO true to the og with the changes being really well implemented imo and some of the more 😬 aspects being written out better here, these guys committed HARD which is 100% necessary for what the og is like, half assing some of the upcoming scenes would've killed it but smartboom are phenomenal! Also outstanding casting, smart as jin (junta/chunta in the og) with this hair is PERFECT and boom as akin (takato in the og) i was like hmmmm not sure until a couple eps in and I was like oh they absolutely cast the PERFECT person to play him!! After you finish this I absolutely recommend watching the anime (and the film) bc it's sooooo good! and yes as someone mentioned jin's wings are in reference to the og! How akin calls jin "wooden boy" here, in the anime it's "___ angel" with the first word changing sometimes but mainly being one word that I won't say bc it's a mild spoiler? So the whole angel motif is bc of that! Smart (jin) played leon in don't say no (Leo's brother) and was in a small scene in love in the air when prapai goes into that party, he's on a floaty in the pool (also cameo-ing as leo), so you might recognise him from there if you saw either of those? The only thing about this remake is some episodes are so short it was agony waiting every week💔 Smartboom's chemistry is great and boom is so so cute, if you're at all wanting content to tide you over in between eps they've reacted to every ep on yt and they're great (no subs tho, good listening practice perhaps? Lmao)
