2025-05-06 18:16:36 +0000 UTCJENGA SCENE MY BELOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy it while it lasts cos buckle up, it's all downhill from here! Minister Cha was a badass. Morally bankrupt? Perhaps, but a badass nonetheless! I'll miss her. I have a theory that on the rare occasion Yohan's plans fall short it's primarily down to his lack of faith in humanity/somewhat stunted EQ, but gonna keep that to myself til after ep 12! Ooo the visual symbolism of Jinjoo descending... The catty dinner scene is perfection - notice how the love rivals are in matching colours, both in beige over white. My absolute favourite thing bout the Gaon/priest flashback is how this was way back in ep 2 when he barely knew Yohan, and yet the first thing he did after finding all this out was rush back to the courthouse and remove the bug from Yohan's office. He put two and two together and got 'terribly lonely probably abused child who isn't the monster he's made out to be'. And that's yet another reason they're perfect together - he has enough emotional intelligence for the both of them! But Yohan in those suspenders, come on... The way he tries to look all nonchalant, leaning against the wall, only to run off to his room like a little dweeb as soon as Gaon makes contact, the way he's all 'who me? I was just passing by, don't know what you're talking about' - Gaon sees straight through you, you sucker! HE'S SUCH A LOSER I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! Elijah using Yohan's deep breaths move against him, hah! And I'm enjoying the running motif of Soohyun picking up on vibes and Gaon deflecting - boy is smitten and he can't hide it! (Now if only he'd realise it...)

2025-05-06 18:14:03 +0000 UTCThis ep like shows how far gone gaon is, like rooting through her pockets for that file covering himself in her blood, the way he feels in that moment for pushing her to that brink. Towards the end they also stop calling her by her name and title and instead call her her son's mum instead to make her feel extra awful as a woman to have abandoned her family for her career.
