you could say that ms evil bob is throwing a wench in her plans

I was so satisfied with the way they handled Jukchang (and I think there are definite lessons to be learned for how we deal with such ppl in the real world), because, like you said, it could so easily have gone terribly wrong - platforming him, or turning him into a martyr. But no, it was the perfect strategy, and I loved the moment of realisation on Sunah's face - yet more vindication for the 'Yohan doesn't lie just weaponises the truth' theory, cos he did exactly what she told him to - gave him a good scolding and then let him go...just with a particularly sadistic caveat! I can never get enough of all the little domestic moments they give us - the cards, sharing a drink together (and notice whereas in ep 9 they were sitting on different chairs, this ep they're both sitting on the sofa - they're getting closer!), plus how flirty was Yohan's body language in that whole scene???? The way he rests his head on his hand, and then tilts his entire body towards Gaon???? The shrug???? Gah!!! I am with you 100% on the physical agony of knowing we'll never get to see them sloppily make out! It's still too soon for me to share my thesis on the Gaon/Soohyun dynamic, but for now all I'll say is I love how in the middle of their convo you can literally see Gaon get lost in his Yohan thinky thoughts and then have to shake himself out of it! Another tiny moment I love is that scene after they get the go-ahead to take Jukchang to court when Gaon's all 'can I do it? can I can I can I??' - Yohan is just so incredibly fond of him! His little smiles! THE LOOK BACK?!?!??!? Actually this ep is just peak teamwork throughout. (Fond Yohan reminds me of a moment I missed in my ep 9 comment, and that's when they're strategising the bribery and Gaon's like 'you have loads of money, right Chief?' and Yohan does this head tilt/raised eyebrow thing then looks around at the others as if to say 'that's my boy!' - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I remember when it was first airing, there were a fair few ppl who hated the Sunah = maid that jumped reveal because they thought it made everything she did about Yohan, thus turning her into just another 'woman obsessed with man' femme fatale, but I think that's SUCH a bad reading of the show/her character, because it was never about Yohan himself (I mean, we've already established that when it came to that household/him, she only really saw what she wanted to see) - it's about what he represents, or what she THINKS he represents, which is financial security, opportunity, a loving family (hah!), pretty shiny things, etc. It's about privilege and socio-economic injustice, about power = safety. It's NOT about her never getting over some dude she crushed on as a kid. Everything she's done since then has been to claw herself a place at the table with all the fancy pretentious food (versus the warm, homely meals Gaon makes) alongside the chaebols and politicians - it's got nothing to do with Yohan! He was only ever a symbol of the life she wanted, the world she wanted to move in (the world she believes he kicked her out of). She was on that journey regardless - his involvement in that same world and her trying to take advantage is just incidental. I mean, just look at the end of this ep - there's a reason the ultimate card Yohan can play is 'she used to work as my maid' and not 'she fancied me but I didn't like her back'! It does SUCH a disservice to Sunah/the writing to reduce their dynamic to 'woman becomes villain cos man is ga-' sorry, I mean 'cos man doesn't love her'! And their dynamic is SO fascinating and SO deliciously complex - there's a begrudging mutual respect when it comes to intellect/manipulation, an acknowledgement that they're peers in a twisted sense - they've both got their own agendas and, despite using them, can't actually stand the rest of the elites they're in bed with, not to mention they're both lonely (though one not so much anymore...!), but then it's also the way Yohan sometimes speaks to her like she's a little girl who he's indulging (perhaps cos in some ways she still is - she's still stuck in that time/place, emotionally stunted, which is yet another way they're two sides of the same coin), but then other times he goes into full on seduction mode and we get this amazing, discomfiting blend of sexual chemistry tinged with, on his part, at best impatience and, at worst, loathing and repulsion! And it's unlike anything else I've seen and I adore it! ETA: almost forgot - I wouldn't put too much stock in the previews because I'm pretty sure they mix up clips from the next couple of eps so not everything you see will be in the upcoming one!
