POLL OF SUDDEN DEATH.
Added 2024-08-06 20:07:05 +0000 UTCThis poll as the title suggests is a sudden death match between the projects that got the least amount of votes in the last polls, but somehow managed to not be eliminated from said polls, managing to go to the next round.
Who will survive? It's up to you.
DC/Percy Jackson: I Am Zeus?
A crossover between Young Justice, Justice League, and Percy Jackson, where our protagonist wakes up as Zeus, and chaos ensues. This is a comedy project, nothing too serious about this one, seeing our protagonist would wake up as one of the strongest beings in the universe, leaving little room for danger in his life.
The Boys: Fear The Mustache.
I died, and I can’t say I didn’t see it coming. But, what I can say is that I didn’t expect to wake up in the middle of the forest, with nothing but my clothes in a body that clearly isn’t mine, seeing how jacked I look, oh… did I forget to mention I now have a scrumptious mustache?
Protagonist: Jack was a mechanic in a small town in Texas who spent most of his time working on old cars to pass the time. His life was great, he had a house, a stable job, and a junkyard full of cars waiting to be fixed. He had it all, and then… he died, there wasn’t any kind of warning, or health issue leading to his death, he just went to sleep and never woke up in the same bed.
Power: Our protagonist was reincarnated as a Viltrumite, so he has all of their powers and weaknesses.
Timeline: A few months before season one of The Boys start.
Skyrim: Hey you. You're finally awake.
Dying was supposed to mean two things, well three if you didn’t believe in God. Heaven, hell or nothing… so why in the flying fuck did I wake up cuffed in a cart in what it appears to be medieval world?! Maybe it’s a convention, or something, I mean this makes no— is that a FUCKING DRAGON?!
I also decided to make this a crossover idea. Merging the world of Skyrim, Game of Thrones, and The Witcher. I thinking of MAYBE adding the Dark Souls universe to this as well, but I have yet to find a way to make it feel right.
As for how the other three universe would work together without shattering canon. Well, each universe would be a continent, each being too far from the other to make an impact to individual story of each one.
Protagonist: Robert Axford, a man in his early 20s who enjoys playing on his console from time to time, his favorite games being The Witcher and Skyrim.
Power: Beyond having access to game system Skyrim has, he will be able to acquire things from the other game systems, meaning he would be able to do shit from the Witcher in time.
Timeline: Right at the start of the game, you know, at the cinematic where the greatest meme of this game came to life.
The Walking Dead: Omnishop.
This is a crossover project I had in mind, between a few zombie universes. The Walking Dead, Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood, I might add more zombie universes, who knows, but that’s about it.
So certain things will be added to the world, like Umbrella as the reason for the apocalypse, and all kinds of zombies, like the Tanker.
The protagonist here, unlike most stories won’t start with any special powers. The only thing he will have is the Omnishop and a few credits to spend in said shop.
What does the Omnishop system do?
It sells everything as the name suggests, and by anything I mean ANYTHING! He could buy Kryptonian powers, or a gun with unlimited ammunition… or a tactical nuke, who knows.
But, here’s the thing… shit is expensive. Offer and demand kind of thing, and the stronger or unique something is the more expensive it becomes. He can buy stuff using credits, which are awarded to him by killing zombies, survivors, quests or just by surviving another day.

Omni shop story can be pretty good story but if you're only experienced with them comes from web novels then all you've seen is the worst of them and not the best examples. So I can see why you'd have a bias hate for them if you're coming from web novels. But outside of web novels there are actually some awesome story's that utilize Omni shop powers similar to the one proposed. My point is you shouldn't let web novels completely mold your perspective on the matter.

2024-08-09 04:12:24 +0000 UTCHmm personally I feel like the shop idea is the most interesting power concept out of all the story ideas in this poll. But as a power it feels way too overpowered for just simply The walking Dead universe on its own as I feel like it should be crossed over with something else like maybe the Stargate or Mass effect universe. Some other wider universe with more powerful enemies then just the walking dead people in The wider universe so it doesn't affect the walking Dead setting starting point. The only other critique I would make is maybe Nerf the shop to maybe like five other fictional universes with a fairly even mixture between heavy fantasy and science fiction. The reason is because it feels like MC could pull way too much craziness into the story and it's hard to really get into that.

2024-08-07 21:59:46 +0000 UTCFair enough, I still have a bunch of novel ideas in my docs, that need to be shown in new polls. I have a few of TWD without powers or systems. 4 years of ideas I wrote and never touched, in a single doc, hahaha.

2024-08-07 21:54:49 +0000 UTCThe reason walking dead is losing is cause they see shop and immediately say no thanks

2024-08-06 22:16:40 +0000 UTCYour usual writing style is more "Power fantasy/weak to strong" So i guess if you stray away from your usual style you could get a good "survival" type of vibe. Rezero is the first thing that comes to mind tbh. Subaru is definitely "man vs nature", which is probably why I like him so much

2024-08-06 20:36:18 +0000 UTCThat's why I want the Omnishop to be hard to be op. Meaning anything OP would take far too MUCH money for the protagonist to buy or save for that matter.

2024-08-06 20:22:39 +0000 UTCU know a good zombie book with a fanfiction twist would be good, but I think anything like superpowers or a system would take away what makes it interesting
