Star Wars: Galactic System - CH12

I stared at the list again, my options Jedi Guardian, Sith Warrior, Mandalorian, and Celestial Paragon hovering in the holographic display before me. Each one was a path of its own, each one brought some benefits to the table. That being said, they didn’t sit well with me.

"None of these," I muttered to myself. "They just don’t cut it." A Jedi Guardia's calm wisdom? Not my style. The ruthless aggression of a Sith Warrior? Too constricting. Mandalorian armor and their many skills might have been fine for some, but against the monsters of this galaxy was nothing but a waste of time. And a Celestial Paragon? That was a grand title, sure, and the benefits were great… However, losing access to the Force was a price too steep to pay.

I leaned back, scratching my chin, and let out a sigh. I needed something else, something more versatile, at least at first.

With the decision made, I started the process of rerolling classes. I knew it was a gamble, playing dice with fate itself, but I had two free shots at this, a little perk of leveling up past level ten. The system was straightforward enough: one class reroll was granted per level after ten, which put me at two, considering I had just hit level twelve, thanks to the bounty hunter, of course.

"Alright, let's see how this works," I said, pulling up the interface and bringing up the option to reroll. The display warned me of the limitations. No backtracking, if I ditched a class now, it was gone for good unless I wanted to invest more than just a free reroll to get it back. Fine by me. I was looking forward, not back.

[Are you sure you want to reroll your classes?]

"Reroll class," I commanded, and the system responded with a soft chime. The screen flickered, then cleared, ready for my input.

[Please note: rerolled classes are final unless changed through additional earned or purchased reroll opportunities.]

"Confirmed," I grunted, nodding slightly.

[User has initiated class reroll, please stand by for new class options.]

The display blurred into a whirlwind of color and light, a kaleidoscope of possibilities spiraling before my eyes. Then, just as quickly as it began, everything snapped into focus.

[New class options generated.]

I leaned in closer, scrutinizing the fresh choices laid out before me.

[Marksman/Very Common: This class focused on long-range combat and stealth, providing a bonus to blaster attacks and accuracy.

Technomancer/Legendary: Combining mastery over technology and the Force, this class allowed the user to manipulate technology freely, from droids to machinery, along with other things. How much the user could control depended entirely on the user and their skill with the Force.

Blademaster/Rare: Focusing on close combat, this class provided significant bonuses to melee attacks and granted unique mastery over various types of blades, including lightsabers. The power this class provided could be increased by learning how to control the Force, but it was not a necessity.

Jedi Initiate/Very Common: This starting class was the first step to unlocking the secrets of the Force, the light side of the Force. It provided basic Force abilities and lightsaber combat techniques, yet it required dedication and discipline to further progress.]

I took a long gulp from the beer I had bought a few moments ago, feeling the cold liquid slide down my throat.

"Choices, choices," I mused aloud, running a hand through my hair.

My choice was really between Technomancer and Blademaster, because the other two were too… simple to give me any edge at all.

Mace Windu had managed to defeat Palpatine with his incredible lightsaber skills, so the path of Blademaster was tempting, but… pointless right now. Unlike Mace Windu, I didn’t have the decades of experience he had over the force, meaning that there was a big chance I would end up being a mild inconvenience at best for Palpatine.

Technomancer on the other hand, felt like it had way more uses and versatility in the short and long run. Especially considering the amount of droids the trade federation will or is producing as of this moment. Not only that, I can’t recall any force user being able to control technology, meaning this power could very well catch off guard people stronger than me, giving me an edge as well as the element of surprise.

I could always reroll… but chances are I will get a worse selection. So…

"Technomancer," I announced to the empty room. The interface blinked in acknowledgment before a wave of indescribable energy flooded my senses. My eyes closed involuntarily and I gripped the edge of the table, teeth gritted.

When I opened my eyes, the room was awash in an array of colors unseen by the naked eye. I glanced down and noticed my hands had taken on a faint silver sheen. I felt an instinctual understanding of the workings of the devices scattered across the room, their circuits, their programming, their potential.

I could feel every piece of technology in a sixteen meter radius.

This felt weird, different, but not at all unpleasant. A secretive grin tugged at the corners of my mouth. With a swift flick of my wrist, the TV in my room turned on, tuning automatically to the latest news from Naboo. I hadn't touched a remote or spoken a command, just thought about it and it happened. Fascinating.

I wonder if I can do the same with blasters and other weapons. It could give me a big edge over anyone wanting to hunt me down.

Now that I think about it. I never checked what the perks for this class were.

‘Class Perks’

Damn, those perks are kind of broken, sure, I can’t control more than a single droid as of now, but still… the potential this shit had was visible, even from now.

On that note, it seems my force stat is directly correlated to how much power my perks are allowed to display. I can improve technology by 16%, I can detect technology around me; in a radius of 16 meters, and I can only control one droid, because I doubt it would be possible to control 1.6 droids.

‘System, what are the stats that affect my class the most?’

[The primary stats for the Technomancer class are Force and Intelligence. Both determine the effectiveness and reach of your skills, with Force particularly influencing your ability to control, manipulate and exert your will over machinery and electronic devices, while Intelligence enhances the precision and versatility of your control.]

So, in other words. The Force allowed me to bend the tech to my will, while Intelligence would give me a finer control over said tech, meaning that the higher my INT the more complicated the commands I can give.

Seeing my lowest stat is the Force, I think I know how to invest my points.

Now let’s check my perks again. ‘Perks.’

Not bad, not bad at all.

Comments

I am, sorry. Updates restart tomorrow, was dealing with some family details about my father’s will, and stuff.

DocTock

You ok?

StarSmith

Yes a technomancer

Austin Levy

Lmao "Class Perk: Universal Remote - No longer do you have to search through the couch cushions to find that pesky remote, now with a wave of your hand the TV, Sound system and more will all come to life. Warning, the class/perk system is not responsible for any pay-per-view charges due to accidental channel changing or film selections.

LongSongGolden

Thanks for the chapter

Nazarickk

Yes, as long as the class doesn't have restrictions against the other class.

DocTock

Baited!! where the drama lol .he needs another in counter

Iffy chan

He could very well hijack the entire droid army with this class that's set to invade naboo in the story. As he doesn't need to directly control every Droid he just needs to control the command center that's giving out the orders to the other droids and the others will fall in line. What to do with the namiodes though?? One thought is to capture them using their own droid army and then at gunpoint have them transfer all their money to the main character .

Anthony Maxwell

I think after he masters Technomancers , his next class will be Blademaster

Orion Chung

Is he able to have more than one class later on when his higher level

Dragon Cross

Thank you for the chapter
