Summer is here and now in July we will have 4 Grand Prix in the next 5 weeks!
So that means (at least 😉) 4 new extensions! 🥳️ and a lot of work for me... 😅

Let's start with the Red Bull Ring extension and its new layout for the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix this week-end 🙂

The all new 2023 layout includes:

[ _ INSTALL PROCEDURE _]

1. INSTALL ORIGINAL TRACK
Track is Kunos ks_red_bull_ring from the Assetto Corsa Red Pack DLC available here:

2. DOWNLOAD THE EXTENSION
Download the Red Bull Ring F1 Classics Extensions 3.0:

3. INSTALL THE EXTENSION
Content Manager cannot install extensions directly
so you have to manually extract the extension to your assetto corsa folder
using Windows Explorer (override extension existing files if asked)

4. SELECT ONE OF THELAY OUTS IN CONTENT MANAGER

5. PLAY 🙂

[NOTE ABOUT ORANGE SMOKE]

Do not inhale... (just kidding) 😉

The smoke appears only at 3PM and disappears progressively after 5 minutes.

For any issue or if you don't like it, don't want it because it consumes too much resources or even always have it, just check the file: [common/help.txt]

F1 classics 2022/2023 is planned for Fenryr's version. But right now I am already working on Silverstone and Interlagos WEC so it will have to wait a little 😅 Thanks for your support and stay tuned! 😉

Hey Pyyer, would you consider making the 2022 and 2023 extensions to Fenyr's version of the track? In my opinion it makes more sense since the Moto GP chicane was introduced in 2022. Thanks for your work anyways!

Current version is 3.0 for all Austria extensions: either the 2024 extension(Fenryr track) or the Classics Pack (2021/2022/2023 for the kunos track)

Not sure there is enough difference between sprint and feature race to create a dedicated extension. I will check if we can do this with a simple skin

like all other extensions this one is very well done. the only question i have is that this track had a sprint race and i was wondering if there will be a sprint version of this extension aswell.

Like indicated in the help file, change your settings in Assetto Corsa / Video Settings / Quality / Smoke generation Set it to medium or higher and it should be OK

Screens and lights are very dependent of the PP filter and the Pure settings you are using, maybe try another PP Filter (personally I use Pure Life EVO GTS which is great) or change the OUTPUT_BRIGHTNESS value like described in the previous comment

I would love to do it but unfortunately this is something too consequent to do within an extension, entire section of the track file should be modified and it would take way too long to do so especially with other extensions to work on on a daily basis 😅 We'll have to wait for a new track version (or maybe I will have some time to work on it between seasons but I cannot guarantee anything)

You're right, it is an Assetto Corsa restriction: there is only one line for Start/Finish in race and qualifying. Unfortunately nothing we can do about it

Found it, go to the track folder: ks_red_bull_ring\common and open ext_config-pyyer-redbullring-displays.ini in there is a section called "Color corrections". I changed OUTPUT_BRIGHTNESS = 0.4 (default is 1.2)

Turns out it is something with a mod car, though the car works fine on all other tracks I've tried, including the KS Red Bull Ring.

Hi Ed, not 100% sure, but I think I saw Peter Boese write that you have to "turn on post processing for virtual mirrors". It's a longshot, but maybe it helps.

Hi Pyyer, in turn 6 and 7 the billboards are flickering vigorously in VR. Hope you can put a little more in front of the old barrier/billboards. Edit, the small pirelli boards in turn 5 also have this. Within 150m they stop flickering. Anything above that is a disco. ;)

My trees look almost white and I don't know why. I've deleted the entire track and re-downloaded it through Steam but it doesn't look as green as yours does. Monza looks amazing. Any ideas?

2022 and 2023 layouts are in two separate folders so nothing should be overwritten. Updated versions of 2022, 2021 and other layouts will eventually come in a separate classics extension
