2025-12-29 06:54:52 +0000 UTCI get what you say about getting another layer of enjoyment by knowing at least some of the lore of the actual horses, but on the other hand I feel like it would've spoiled the show for me (for example when Teio or Suzuka got hurt). I guess it's jut a different type of enjoyment that you get based on your perspective, like watching The Last Dance being a 20 something dude that never watched the 90s Bulls instead of the grown ass man that I am.

Despite not related people started saying Fuji Kiseki was like Pockke's real father (unlike you Tony Bin). Perry Steam irl was Kurofune, also another legendary horse (nickname "The White Secretariat"), but they couldn't get him to Umamusume because his owner also the one that own Deep Impact. Kurofune had a daughter name "Curren Chan" and a great grand daughter name "Happy Meek" The jet engine sound with the plane during Tachyon's race probably a reference to Agnes Tachyon's full brother Agnes Flight, the horse that assassinated Air Shakur's Triple Crown and the reason why her suck ass card was named "7 more centimeters" (and probably why we also see her at the race as audience) Talking about Triple Crown, out of everyone in this movie the only one that really got a Triple Crown was TM Opera O, the first horse to ever won the Senior Autumn Triple Crow and the only one to ever did it undefeted in a year.
