Fun Fact: During the scene where Candy (Leo DiCaprio) slams his hand down on the table, he actually cut himself badly. He stayed in character, while bleeding profusely, and incorporated it into the scene. He continued his 4 minute monologue while picking pieces of glass from his hand. Although, the blood he smeared on Broomhilda's face was, in fact, fake. When Tarantino yelled "cut", the crew gave him a standing ovation.

Hygiene wise....and this is only hear say since my family from the south but the Irish in particular.... hygiene wasn't up to par. You kind of see it today...even poor black kids keep their shoes clean...you won't leave this house without lotion....cocoa butter on your face. It's there... But there's also history with being overseers and later Irish and polish being cops. Which if you look today a lot of cops are polish and Irish.... it comes from being overseers

He literally asked the slaves in the beginning did anyone come from the plantation and does he remember what the Brittal brothers look like. Lol you was talking when he said it. That’s how he knew that Django knew what they looked like and he wanted to buy Django.

Fun Fact: Quentin Tarantino was one of the three people near the end Django killed when they were transporting slaves. Tarantino was moving the dynamite to the wagon cage.

Another great reaction MJ! Tarantino’s writing is on another level! His storytelling is what sets his films apart, and Django Unchained has incredibly sharp dialogue, dark humor, and tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

If you liked this and want to do more Westerns the Hateful 8 should be on your Radar. It’s directed by Tarantino, Stars Samuel Jackson and Christoph Waltz (The dentist) plus other goated actors.

I think he did say sand. I think in that day it meant the same as when, today, we say someone has grit.

Hey MJ, I took the reference to sand to mean he had grit. He's tenacious, stubborn, and strong willed.
No matter how many times we punish you, you keep running away!

If I am correct I believe he said “sin” instead of “sand.” But being that it’s slavery the white guy has a thick southern accent. But if not known, a lot of white people would use or rather twist Christianity to where white “good” and black people were “bad” etc. etc. but with that logic he saying that because he tried to run from being a slave that that’s a “sin”, but I could be wrong. Great reaction though 💯
