I hate it neverf got to the Olle Woodson/Ron Tyson days. You should add "Treat Her Like A Lady" & "Lady Soul" to your playlist too!

We saw the Reunion show at the Fox in Atlanta. Eddie's voice was shot at that point already, but that particular night it must've been really bad, because Glenn sang all his parts.

1:00:30 That 2nd Temptations group eventually became Dennis Edwards & The Temptations Revue. They had a lot of success until Dennis passed in 2018. That group still performs as The Dennis Edwards Temptations Revue. But only at small venues and private events. Look them up on Youtube...Tons of footage. Past members of Otis' group sang with Dennis too (Olle Woodson and Theo Peoples)

I love this movie 🥹. My dad used to stay bumping the Temptations around the house 😂. …The guy singing at Melvin’s funeral at the end of the movie was the real
Smokey Robinson. The one that wrote my girl and a lot of the other songs.

Tammi also had an abusive relationship prior to David Ruffin with James Brown. Tammi was allegedly 17 years old when she started dating him.

One of the most tragic relationships in Motown was between David Ruffin and Tammi Terrell. The series introduced Tammi Terrell as David Ruffin’s girlfriend, but they did not expand on their relationship. David asked Tammi to marry him, but she declined after discovering he was already married with three kids. They continued their relationship, but David became very abusive towards her, and they would both have violent altercations with each other. Otis Williams also knew about the abuse saying that David “would sometimes be rough on the ladies.” He also saw the lumps on Tammy's head where David had hit her. Tammi eventually left David when he struck her with a motorcycle helmet. Tammi Terrell would continue to have a tragic life as she died at the age of 24 from a brain tumor after achieving success with Marvin Gaye as a duet.

Regarding the whole 2 groups of Temptations out ag the same time prior to the reunion tour, that never happened. The movie got along wrong. Ruffin, Kendricks and Edwards would team up AFTER the reunion tour but they wouldn't be known as The Temptations, more like former members of Temptations or something like that.

Of course Otis had something against David Ruffin. You don't get told "Nobody comin' to see you, Otis!" and let that go so easily.

One thing the biopic doesn’t outline is that Paul not only resulted to alcoholism due to his sickle cell anemia, but depression of being placed further back in his role with Motown. Paul not only was a choreographer for the group, but he choreographed several other groups for Motown. I think you might just be more of a fan of the later Temptations songs because they were written more by Norman Whitfield than Smokey and you just like that style more. They feature ‘Just My Imagination’ in Dead Presidents. Fun fact, Paul’s wife in the biopic is Diana Ross’s real daughter that she had with Berry Gordy. The light skinned man singing at Melvin’s funeral is the REAL Smokey Robinson. Salute.
