New Feature: Activate Tier with Code

Starting with version 0.3.4, you will have the option to receive your tier rewards without downloading a different game version for your tier.

This does NOT mean that the game will auto-update to the latest version!

You still need to download one of the latest versions from the official sources. The only difference is that if you have downloaded the latest Basic or Animated (Founder) version of the game and later upgrade to a higher Patreon tier, you can use a code to unlock the upgrade without downloading anything new.

You can still use the “old” method to upgrade your tier by downloading your tier-specific version. Both methods will remain functional for the time being.

How to get your Tier rewards via Code verification

1. Start game > click / tap on Verify Code

1. Click on the "Generate Code" button
   (you will get redirected to our custom made tool made to generate codes)

1. Click / Tap on "Login with Patreon"
   (The login is handled by Patreon's oAuth API - we do NOT store or collect any of your credentials. The tool has no means of storing data implemented, everything is handled within the user session.)

1. Allow the app to verify your Patreon account authentication

1. After successful authentication you will get redirected back to the tool and you can press on the "Generate Code" button

1. Copy the code generated by the app
   (The code is available only for a limited number of days in order to prevent fraudulent activation)

1. Paste the code in the game and click on "Verify Code". Your tier rewards should be granted instantly after you confirm the code verification.

Aaand, that's all! You should be ready to go!

A few notes about the this method of getting your tier rewards:

• While code generation requires an online connection (it’s done via a website and can be accessed from any device), the in-game code validation does NOT require an online connection. When you click on “Verify Code,” we use multiple layers of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography to confirm the authenticity of the generated code.

  We know that many of our players prefer not to use a continuous online connection while playing, which is why we chose safest approach when implementing this feature.

• This is a complex feature that's still in development. We hope you won’t encounter any issues while using it, but if you do, please let us know as soon as possible.

• This new method of getting your tier rewards is not supposed to replace the old one where you downloaded a different version for each tier, but rather a complementary one. This new one is especially useful for those who don't want to download the game again after getting their Patreon Tier.
