So i guess skylas' mom was like skylas in her youth, making friends with questionable strangers. Then one of them knock her up and left her to raise a child by herself. Every time skylas' mom sees skylas befriending men with questionable appearance, she gets reminded of what happened to her. if my guess is right gotta say i feel bad for skylas' mom now, plus i bet she worries that skylas might repeat the same "mistakes" she made
