I see some of these dudes as hundreds of years old and even though that means stuck in their ways, it also means wise enough to see through something like that. I'm imagining it will be a slow, gradual thing. His first group of professors goes out into the world to teach cultivation to the most gifted, then those keep spreading it. Soon enough, once you have an entire land of cultivators, all of a sudden, you now have an army the size of the entire population that will demand change.

2026-02-17 23:15:19 +0000 UTCI think you’re not considering the culture. It has been shown multiple times that loyalty to an organization lasts beyond who stands at the top of the organization. Tobias is weird in that he tries to be loyal to people instead of organizations

It feels like the sort of thing that should at least be addressed in story, even if it doesn’t have a major impact on the plot.
