2026-02-11 20:22:37 +0000 UTCI see co-opting the old system as more practical, but only if he breaks into nascent soul to have the personal power level necessary to have the clans and sects follow him. Or he needs to develop a way to break them for setting up a new system.

2026-02-11 18:50:11 +0000 UTCI find it ironic that the nascent soul realm cultivators want Tobias to research the nascent soul realm so they can progress. But at the same time, part of the reason he is safe from the nascent soul cultivators is because he has not yet researched it. By tying Tobias' safety to his future research, Tobias has far less incentive to actually perform the research.

2026-02-11 15:49:52 +0000 UTC‘Angry’ works, identifying a subset of clan and sect elders instead of all of them being angry. ‘Wish’ is correct because it is a continuing command, not past. Until the war is resolved, the 2nd Emperor is still ‘in power’.

2026-02-11 13:42:43 +0000 UTCA republic that will last until the great communist revolution will arrive! Also makes you wonder if a republic would really work still because all it would take would be a few people to reach the sage realm and then take over power together. Unless Tobias manages to get his skills and abilities to work in the nascent soul realm I guess.

2026-02-11 12:33:01 +0000 UTCInteresting that Tobias seems to view himself as Sun Yat-sen rather than Liu Bang, as some of us in the comments mentioned, although certainly understandable. Whether that's how it works out or he ends up having to co-opt the old system to help birth a new one we'll have to wait and see.

2026-02-11 11:04:34 +0000 UTCYou can love your brother but brother can also burn down your house. How you feel personally and how you have to act to protect something you're responsible for can often come into conflict.

2026-02-11 10:57:45 +0000 UTC'… was a political manoeuvre to curb the angry of the clan and sect elders…' Anger? '… because the 2nd Emperor wish them…' Wished?
