Update on Unorthodox Farming.
Added 2026-01-11 03:37:14 +0000 UTCSo, I had more visitors, and then I got sick for a few days, which is part of the reason you didn't get a chapter on Thursday. The other part is that I don't like the last four chapters I've released. They've taken the story in a direction I don't like and won't let me tell the story I want to tell as well as I want to. After debating with myself, I've decided I'm going to rewrite them. They aren't something I can easily gloss over and fix in post.
For the reasons above, I don't have a backlog for my 10-day camping trip, so there won't be any chapter for 2 weeks. I've also realised that switching from editing The Magistrate to writing Unorthodox Farming doesn't work for me. So when I get back, I'm going to spend a few weeks editing the second arc, so I can completely focus on Unorthodox Farming.
Switching from 3rd person to 1st person is apparently something my brain hates to do.
Anyway, I'll start releasing chapters of Unorthodox Farming at the beginning of next month. I've got 2 months of uninterrupted writing time once I get back from camping, so I expect to get a lot done.
The Magistrate will come out while I'm away.

I will say, I was grinning like a loon watching Torvac interact with the rest of his family, so I hope some elements of that remain when you rewrite. Otherwise, do what you need to do to make the writing work for you.
