This Week in the Forest! #67

TIME GOES BY SO FAST! But it also didn't help I was late on that last patreon post...

Oh well, here's what we've been up to! Starting with A Word from Vixel!

3/7 Weekly Update:

Heya floofs! 50 hours of coding & debugging later, we're a lot closer to our goal. Hit a few snags with triggering while reassembling Acts 1 and 2, so I'm rolling back to what worked before to help get the build out ASAP. The rest of the new designs are working awesome. ^^

Once the game is stable again, Carrot and I will toss a build back and forth and look for issues, then we can finally get that out to yall to test and play. Will keep you posted! <3

We're gettin' super close! So stoked! :>

On my end I've been doing the Act 4 area look dev! There's a ton of potential for this area, and one of the things I wanted to focus on was having more game-play oriented puzzles! Usually that requires larger maps, and our game is NOT tile based, so that's a huge pain in the ass to achieve...

SO I've been developing a semi-tiled/recycled workflow for our game! Thus the image up top! I've basically made a buncha assets I can now bash together and to create variations!

With that smattering of rocks, I can easily make several variations of platform that still feel like totally unique assets, it's dope! There's a few more areas of design I wanna try to plow ahead with, BUT I might need to circle back on that and make sure our Act 3 Content is all well prepared since it looks like we'll be up and running relatively soon :>

Good shit good shit! Oh, I think I'll share some 3D shenanigans with y'all in a bit too... Keep an eye out!
