Content Adjustment

Hey all, the title of this may seem scary but hopefully it's not. If you've been around for a while you know that the patreon has been on a far from monthly schedule. I need to adjust things so I can keep it up most of the year and continue drawing full time.

Thus, I will be reducing the monthly arts to two winners. They will be voted on in two polls separated by general character popularity instead of category (so Persona won't be guaranteed going forward -- but will probably still tend to win lol). Each will get a main pin-up pack and NSFW pack as has been standard for a total of four monthly art packs.

Additionally, the bonus sketches for NSFW packs will be in grayscale going forward like the recent Sae bonus art. This is actually more a stylistic decision as I like how it looks but it makes sense to mention here.

If you are a member more to support me or otherwise don't mind this change then you can give me a thumbs up and stop reading lol. Otherwise, I fully respect if you think this makes the membership too costly but here is my justification:

Scope Creep:

When the patreon first started, there were originally two winners a month, each getting an "A" and "B" artwork. This meant (generally) four packs a month. In 2024, I started introducing more explicit artwork without considering the workload resulting in a term where there was like... 8 arts. This was a bit unsustainable and the next terms only had around 5 or 6. So, because of that, and because I felt the "B" artworks were a bit of a waste, I decided to do NSFW arts instead of the "B" arts.

Ok, great.

Except then I added 2 characters per term. So, I was still doing 8 arts per term... perhaps the problem is now clear here lol.

Additionally, I usually tried to do some bonus sketches for each character so that I wasn't just drawing them one and done. As the patreon has progressed, these have mostly standardized with me putting more time into them so that they're (hopefully) nice arts on their own and not throwaway sketches. Here's a comparison between mid 2024 sketches and mid 2025 sketches:

Hopefully the difference is clear lol. And that Margaret page is one of the better ones of the old content! Putting in the effort that went into the Marin page adds up to a lot over a month's content.

Earlier this year I caught on that I was overworking myself but I need to correct further so that I can maintain a monthly schedule. I prefer putting in as much effort as possible into each pack so I think it's preferable to scale back on how many there are per term rather than making the packs smaller and well... sloppier for lack of a better term.

Routine

For the past year and a half, the patreon has been on a bimonthly schedule at best. Unfortunately, I can't keep sustaining that forever without raising prices to reflect that which I don't want to do. Though you may see this as a price increase anyway due to less art packs per term.

Regardless, keeping a tighter schedule will benefit the art as when a term lasts multiple months I tend to take longer between finishing a pack and starting the next. Keeping the patreon actually monthly (ideally) should lead to more consistency and... y'know... less long gaps between posts.

Other Projects

Everything I've talked about so far has been about the core "patreon content". In other words, what is to be expected from your membership each month.

As you know, I tend to like drawing additional art not directly tied to the patreon as much as possible. It may not always interest you but I think it's an important aspect of being an artist over a machine.

I'd like to continue with the daily arts, weekly NSFW art, and developing my comic to share with you all. For all that I need breathing room that the current workload hasn't been giving.

I also need time to work on improving my technical skills and growing as an artist :)

I hope all that makes sense... let me know if it doesn't lol. Having written it now I'm a bit worried it'll come off as complaining a bit... I don't like talking about the struggles of being an artist too much because while it can be difficult, I can't complain too much about being paid to draw anime girls lol.

Anyway, the TL;DR of this is I'm just lowering what constitutes a term of content so that I can hopefully continuing making art like this for a long time and improve while doing so!

As always, thanks for the support and double thanks if you read all my yapping. Luv ya <3
