Chapter 1019: Just Injuries

Su Luo carefully stepped onto the freshly mowed pitch, feeling the soft touch of the grass blades beneath his feet.

Although he knew he was still some time away from a full recovery, he wasn’t discouraged. Deep down, he firmly believed he could overcome this setback.

After a week of rest and treatment, Su Luo could feel his strength gradually returning. Every time he swung his arms or stretched his legs, his muscles felt more alive—stronger, faster, ready to grow again.

That feeling gave him even more confidence that he would soon overcome his injury.

Sweat dripped down his face under the blazing sun, but he refused to stop. Each movement, each stretch, each step reflected his unyielding willpower.

He closed his eyes for a moment and recalled scenes from his previous matches—the deafening cheers of the fans, the encouraging shouts of his teammates from the sidelines.

Those memories became the force that kept him going.

From time to time, fans passing by the training ground would stop and glance toward him with admiration and expectation.

Su Luo could feel their hope. He knew he carried not only the dreams of his teammates but also the expectations of countless supporters.

As he trained, he silently reminded himself: he couldn’t just return to his old form—he had to surpass it.

He had to become stronger, faster, and better than before.

Gradually, the sun dipped below the horizon and the sky darkened.

Su Luo finally stopped training. Standing near the center circle, he gazed around the quiet stadium. In his heart, he made a silent vow to this sacred ground—to never give up, no matter how many hardships or challenges he would face.

“Su Luo, you did great today!”

Emily’s gentle voice echoed through the field as she walked toward him, her eyes filled with admiration as she looked at his silhouette in the evening breeze.

“Thanks.”

Su Luo turned around, smiling at her. “I feel much better now. Once the injury’s fully healed, I’ll be ready to play again.”

Emily smiled warmly and picked up a towel, gently wiping the sweat from his neck.

“I know you can do it,” she said softly. “You’ve always been strong and determined. I believe in you—your body and your will are both incredible. You’ll get through this.”

A short distance away, Robert and Hagen were watching closely, holding a stopwatch to monitor his training progress.

They knew this was the only way Su Luo could return to the pitch, and as teammates, they felt responsible for supporting him every step of the way.

On the field, Su Luo’s training shirt was completely drenched with sweat. His muscles tensed and relaxed rhythmically with every movement, a testament to his determination and hunger for success.

Not far away, Emily stood quietly, her eyes following his every move.

“Come on, Su Luo!” she whispered with encouragement. “You’re doing amazing!”

Su Luo walked over to Robert and accepted a towel to wipe the sweat from his face. “Thank you all for the constant support and encouragement,” he said sincerely. “But now, I need to push through the rest of this on my own.”

Hagen patted him firmly on the shoulder. “We know you can do it, Su Luo. You’ll beat this injury and come back stronger than ever.” His eyes shone with confidence.

Su Luo nodded, clenching his fist tightly.

He knew that at this moment, he couldn’t rely on anything else—no shortcuts, no miracles. Only hard work, discipline, and perseverance would bring him back to his peak.

The training ground fell silent except for the rhythmic sound of Su Luo’s breathing and the thud of his footsteps against the turf.

Every motion was filled with sweat, focus, and determination.

From the sidelines, Emily continued to watch with quiet admiration. She came to the training ground every day, witnessing Su Luo give his all in rehabilitation.

In her heart, she knew—Su Luo was not just talented. He was tough, resilient, and unyielding.

Time passed quietly as the sun dipped lower, painting the western sky in shades of gold and red.

And in that fading light, Su Luo’s figure stood tall and steady—like a warrior preparing to rise again.
