358 Plan to Die Together

By now, Zephyr was already in his seventies. At such an age, no matter where he stood, he was still regarded as a respected old man.

Even the legendary Roger Pirates had long since retired from the seas, their surviving members stepping back one after another because of age.

For many powerful men across the seas, time itself is the greatest enemy.

No matter how mighty you were in your youth, once age catches up, strength inevitably fades.

How proud was Roger, the Pirate King? Yet in the end, he fell to illness.

Whitebeard, one of the Four Emperors, had once shaken the world with his power. But as the years passed, his combat ability declined year by year, never returning to its peak.

Zephyr, however, possessed one advantage that no other powerhouse could claim: the full support of Marine science and technology.

It was well known, even among children, that technology could often be a decisive aid. And the Marines held the strongest technology in the world. Naturally, they found a way to help Zephyr maintain his combat power.

When Zephyr’s right arm had been cut off by Whitebeard II years ago, his fighting strength had plummeted.

But Marine scientists provided the solution — they gave Zephyr a new arm.

Now, fixed to his right side, was an immensely powerful mechanical prosthetic.

Though it looked bulky and unwieldy, it was in fact directly connected to Zephyr’s brain. As long as his mind remained clear, the arm could move as naturally as his own flesh and blood.

And this time, the arm carried a hidden weapon — a seastone bomb, installed by Marine scientists at the cost of their lives.

That weapon existed for one purpose: this very battle.

“Go on, Kronos!” Zephyr roared, charging forward with reckless abandon, like a berserker who had cast aside all thoughts of retreat.

The Admiral once known as “Black Arm” had thrown everything away. With all his will, he intended to take Kronos down here and now.

Like many Marines, Zephyr still clung to the belief that if Kronos could be killed, peace would return to the seas — and the new era would belong to Marine.

Garp’s expression shifted. He hadn’t expected Zephyr to charge at this moment — it was no different from seeking death.

But then, his gaze fell on Zephyr’s flashing mechanical arm.

A grim thought surfaced in his mind, making his face tighten with unease.

His features twisted bitterly, as though weighed down by something he couldn’t say aloud.

“Could it be… Zephyr intends—?”

Garp’s face darkened, realizing what might come next.

“This guy isn’t planning something reckless, is he?”

For the first time, the Marine hero felt restless. A terrible premonition gnawed at him.

Meanwhile, Kronos himself remained calm.

No arrogance showed on his face, only a cold, cutting smile at the corner of his lips.

In such a situation, an ordinary man would already have been terrified, perhaps even driven to wet himself in panic.

But Kronos merely scoffed, his voice as sharp as a blade.

“I really don’t know whether to call you brave or foolish. Do you honestly believe you can shake me with that trick? You’re too naïve. I don’t even know what to say about you.”
