Chapter 981 You Are Just A Show Star

Mats Hummels personally stepped forward and said in a calm but firm tone:

“Calm down! This is not the pre-match atmosphere we want.”

His cold tone and commanding presence quickly quieted the chaos.

The players gradually dispersed, leaving only Su Luo on the pitch, staring quietly at Hummels.

“Su Luo, you should know that as the leader and core player of this team, you cannot lose control,” Hummels said. His voice was calm, but carried the weight of a captain’s lesson.

Su Luo lowered his head, silently reflecting on his words.

“I’m sorry, Captain. I’ll stay sharp.”

“That’s right,” Hummels replied, patting Su Luo on the shoulder. “Listen—save your answers for the pitch. Don’t give anyone a chance to question you.”

Su Luo nodded firmly.

He understood he could not lose sight of his goals because of provocation. In this volatile environment, he had to keep his head clear and respond to every doubt with his best performance.

In the warm-up area in Stuttgart, a tense atmosphere lingered.

The team’s original preparations for the Champions League were disrupted by the earlier clash.

The Stuttgart players glared at Dortmund’s squad, angrily hurling accusations.

“You arrogant stars always think you can do whatever you want!” one Stuttgart player shouted.

Su Luo swallowed his anger and replied with a smile:
“We’re just staying competitive. That’s all.”

On the sidelines, Shinji Kagawa observed quietly. In his heart, he supported Su Luo completely.

Nearby, Stuttgart’s Serbian international Zdravko Kuzmanović stepped forward, raising his hands to calm the situation.

“Everyone, relax! This is not what we need before the match,” he said firmly.

But the hostility remained.

“Do you star players think you’re invincible?” another Stuttgart player sneered.

The tension rose again, with boos echoing from the stands until security rushed in to restore order.

From Dortmund’s bench, Jürgen Klopp could see the danger. He knew he had to put a stop to it quickly.

“Calm down!” Klopp shouted to his players. “This is not the time to solve problems.”

But Shinji Okazaki, furious, locked eyes with Su Luo.

“Su Luo, why do you always use tricks to win?” Okazaki snapped. “Have you ever thought about how other players feel?”

Su Luo shot back immediately, his voice steady:
“I haven’t done anything wrong. In football, victory is what we all fight for.”

Okazaki refused to back down.
“Don’t you ever think about others? Just play the game properly! Do you feel proud humiliating your opponents?”

Su Luo’s eyes sharpened, his confidence unwavering.
“I’m just a hard-working player. I’ve never looked down on anyone.”

Klopp stepped between them, his expression serious.

“We’re all here for the same thing. We must respect each other. Su Luo and his teammates fight for victory—and so do you.”

But Okazaki’s anger still burned.
“Respect? Su Luo always acts condescending toward us. We’ve had enough!”
