Chapter 924: Tacit Understanding Is The Most Important Thing In The Game
Added 2025-08-22 10:58:33 +0000 UTCThe whole team listened carefully to the coach’s explanation, their eyes following the arrows and markings on the tactical board.
They all knew that only through close collaboration and precise execution of tactics could the team hope to win.
Facing the expectant eyes of his teammates, Su Luo felt a surge of determination and confidence. He took a deep breath and silently reminded himself to give his all, to fully unleash his abilities, and to become the backbone of the team.
Sensing the solemn atmosphere on the pitch, the coach spoke with encouragement:
“I believe each of you has outstanding strength and skill. As long as we cooperate closely and fight together, we can defeat our opponents.”
The entire squad responded in unison:
“Yes!”
As captain, Hummels added firmly:
“Let’s show our best selves on the pitch and fight for victory together!”
The players erupted into cheers and immediately switched into training mode.
Su Luo took the lead in organizing precise passing drills and flexible movement exercises. Every player gave their full effort, pushing themselves to improve with each challenge.
The sunlight streamed down from the clear blue sky, shining across the training ground and casting long shadows on the grass. The coaches gathered on the sideline, intent on sharpening the team’s chemistry through focused cooperative drills.
Su Luo and his teammates understood the importance of this session, so they paid close attention to every word.
“Everyone,” one of the coaches called out, “today we focus on communication and collaboration. Only through true understanding on the pitch can we adapt to different match situations.”
Su Luo immediately grasped the meaning behind the coach’s words. He thought briefly about the special skills and strategy templates he could exchange through the system—but in real matches, no system could replace genuine team chemistry.
Turning to his teammates Robert and Hummels, Su Luo took a deep breath.
“Robert! Hummels! Let’s run the cooperative drills together!” he called out.
Both Robert and Hummels smiled and nodded. The three quickly formed a unit, moving into coordinated passing and running drills.
They complemented each other well—sometimes breaking forward quickly, other times interchanging positions with fluid runs.
The coaches watched closely and nodded with satisfaction. They knew that only through such harmony could the team maximize everyone’s strengths.
“Excellent! Su Luo, Robert, Hummels—you’ve shown great teamwork,” the coach praised. “Next, we’ll put even more emphasis on communication and coordination.”
Su Luo and his teammates exchanged glances, slightly taken aback. They knew there was still plenty of room for improvement.
The coaching staff then set up a series of drills focused on communication: relaying key information, signaling attacking intentions, and coordinating quick responses to the opponent’s counters.
Midway through training, however, a mistake occurred between Su Luo and Hummels. Their miscommunication allowed the opposing side to intercept the ball, instantly forcing them onto the defensive.
Su Luo felt the expectant looks of his teammates. He realized this was a valuable lesson.
“Hummels, we need to communicate better,” he said encouragingly. “Next time you pass, tell me your intention beforehand—I’ll make the run to support you.”
Hummels smiled and nodded.
“Understood. We’ll get it right next time.”
