Chapter 915: Honor Is More Important Than Money!

This question suddenly ignited debate, and the atmosphere in the media center grew tense.

Everyone was waiting for Su Luo’s answer.

Su Luo took a deep breath, looked at the reporters, and said seriously:
“For me, personal value and collective glory are not mutually exclusive. Every player desires personal achievements in his career, but at the same time, football is a collective sport. Success cannot be achieved without teamwork and cooperation.”

His remarks immediately drew interest, and reporters began voicing their own opinions.

“Mr. Su Luo is right! Individual ability and team spirit are not contradictory. Only by combining the two can we achieve even greater success!” a young reporter said excitedly.

“However, in modern football, players’ transfer fees and salaries have reached astronomical levels. Wouldn’t you consider personal interests first?” another reporter countered.

Su Luo smiled and replied calmly:
“Of course I consider personal interests. But what I value more is the strength and development potential of the club. Borussia Dortmund is a top team, with excellent coaches and outstanding teammates.

Here, I feel a true sense of belonging. The trust and opportunities the club has given me allow me to continue improving and making greater contributions to the team.”

Other reporters joined in, and soon the discussion grew heated. Some supported Su Luo’s emphasis on teamwork, while others argued for the primacy of personal ambition and the allure of money and fame.

After the media session ended, Su Luo left quietly.

He walked deeper into a narrow alley, lit only by a few faint lamps. The night air was calm, almost peaceful, yet his steps were heavy.

Behind him, Emily hurried to catch up.
“Su Luo, wait!” she called.

Su Luo stopped, his gaze fixed on the distant skyline. Worry and uncertainty clouded his eyes. The weight of possible future changes pressed on him.

Should he remain at Dortmund, or move to a wealthier, more competitive club? The question haunted him relentlessly.

Emily reached him and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Su Luo, no matter what happens, I’ll support you,” she said softly.

Su Luo turned, catching the warmth in her smile under the dim light. In that moment, time seemed to stand still. The quiet alley was filled with stillness and peace.

“Emily… what would you think if one day I really left Dortmund?” Su Luo asked, his voice tinged with worry.

Emily looked into his eyes deeply.
“Su Luo, believe me. No matter where you go, I will always support you. Football is your dream—I understand your pursuit of personal achievement.”

Hearing her words, Su Luo felt a surge of warmth and gratitude. Her support eased the turmoil in his heart.
“Emily, thank you,” he said sincerely. “Football is my passion, but having you by my side gives me strength and comfort. Whatever changes come, you give me the courage to keep chasing my dream.”

Emily smiled and gently held his hand.
“No matter how the future unfolds, we’ll face it together. Whether it’s personal glory or collective honor, we’ll experience it side by side.”
