Chapter 914: Found The Position And Role That Truly Belongs To Me

However, Su Luo’s troubles were far from over.

After the press conference, he walked into the club’s media center to prepare for more interviews. This time, he would face German journalist Hans Berg, a reporter notorious for his provocative style.

Hans Berg was a highly visible figure in German football. He was known for challenging players with tough questions and stirring controversy to draw attention. Naturally, Su Luo was no exception.

When Su Luo entered the media center, his eyes quickly scanned the familiar faces and equipment in the room. The atmosphere turned quiet as everyone braced themselves for the much-anticipated interview.

Berg looked at Su Luo with a hint of provocation. Raising the microphone, he asked:
“Mr. Su Luo, earlier you spoke about leadership and skill when discussing your future plans. I want to know—do you think you can be compared to the legendary Bundesliga figure Lothar Matthäus? After all, you seem to share similarly excellent technical ability and leadership qualities.”

The question shattered the previously harmonious atmosphere. Berg’s tone was sharp, designed to provoke a reaction.

But Su Luo only smiled slightly, his eyes brimming with confidence. He took a steady breath and replied:
“Mr. Matthäus is a remarkable player and leader. He has made outstanding contributions to German and world football. While we may share some similar qualities, I don’t want to compare myself with him.”

He continued firmly:
“Every era has its own stars and leaders. I deeply respect Mr. Matthäus’s achievements, but I am focused on becoming the leader of my own era. My heart is full of loyalty and passion for Bundesliga football.”

Hans Berg allowed himself a faint smile, clearly satisfied with Su Luo’s composed answer.
“Very impressive,” he admitted. “Your loyalty to Bundesliga football and your club is admirable. So, among all the clubs that have reportedly invited you, which one would you consider your ideal destination?”

Su Luo thought for a moment, then answered with a calm smile:
“In my view, there is no club more ideal than Borussia Dortmund.

This is a team with a long history and an indomitable passion. I share a special bond with the fans, the coaching staff, and my teammates here. I believe we can achieve even greater honors together.”

Berg nodded, conceding:
“Very well. It seems your commitment to Dortmund is real.”

“Yes,” Su Luo said firmly. “Here, I’ve found the role and responsibility that truly belong to me.”

By this point, the atmosphere of the interview had softened. Hans Berg set aside his provocations and shifted toward questions about football tactics and personal training. Su Luo responded with steady confidence, smiling as he spoke.

He could feel the expectations weighing on him, and he knew that every answer would shape his image in the eyes of both the club and the wider football world.

After Su Luo’s declaration of loyalty to Borussia Dortmund, other reporters eagerly joined in.

One raised his hand and asked:
“Mr. Su Luo, although you currently play for Dortmund and have expressed your loyalty to the club, what if a stronger, wealthier team were to make you an irresistible offer? Would you choose personal glory—or collective honor?”
