Nooooo! Don’t let that stuff out of your mandibles! You need to sell the treatment to only those you decide should be able to buy it. Make them come to the colony or make it so the only the ants can administer it. If you just sell it then it can be resold to anybody and you completely loose control over it. Don’t even tell people what it is or where it came from. No need to deal with this merchant just put the word out that the colony can reverse the aging of mortals and charge them half of everything they own for it.

2026-02-26 14:23:21 +0000 UTCThis will likely be the underlying trigger to the war between the Colony and Silver City. The mix of new wealth that the Church will convince itself they should be the ones to own combined with the fear of being converted to elixir (which would be sacrilege if the dungeon monsters can now turn their holy liquid against them) is a potent combination.

2026-02-26 06:23:41 +0000 UTCThe church is going to either call a crusade or implode when thier whole thing about monster being gifted by gandalf to give them exp is proven wrong using thier own slightly modified holy ritual or people suddenly concerned about it being a solent green situation Church: we dont make our vials of exp from people. Everyone else: looks at colony doing and wonders.

2026-02-26 02:22:50 +0000 UTCThe colony doesn’t care but the eldest does. The only reason the colony hasn’t destroyed most races for simple offenses is because the eldest has human morals

2026-02-26 02:12:16 +0000 UTCHow does Merchant smoke cigars? Ants don't have lungs any more than they have vocal chords...

2026-02-26 02:12:11 +0000 UTCI still think distributing the method to rip essence out of the main races would be fricken devastating. The colony doesn’t care if the various kingdoms start abducting their adventurers to feed to their nobles. It would be a net win for the colony to simply send a full manual for the ritual to anyone who could possibly be interested. Burn it all down without a shot being fired. And with literally zero colony resource investment

2026-02-26 01:54:50 +0000 UTCI love the dichotomy of the champions. Brilliant needs to know everything to experience all of the world, while Vibrant is extremely focused on only one thing speed. Then there's Solant and Merrchant the lords of war. Solant focuses on physically war moving troops, supplies, and forming fortresses all to win territory to defeat any enemy arrayed against the Colony. Merchant is the same but she steals the bread and gunpowder that allows an enemy to challenge them, nobody can fight without money for long.
