Also, what’s with the lack of hugs in this series, I understand that ants don’t really have arms and need to hug but it would’ve been nice to have Enid give a hug to Antony at some point, I’m sure he would’ve appreciate it

Especially a little nibble of the eldest blood could have some interesting effects maybe a bite of Crynis for the human nameless faithful. If there is no stigma attached to being a monster and you even worship one then why not become one. Maybe they can figure out an acceptable balance so the changes are better then what the legion does to people. All those forbidden things the legion use to do… Brilliant can probably deduce some interesting things.

And merchant is right, she is selfish. Enid is the strongest bond the colony has to humanity. She should be there when the colony finally convinves the world and the Legion that they are a real nation/civ and here to stay. Such a wasted opportunity for Anthony to essentially perform a miracle and elevate her to another new class within his vestibule.

2026-02-11 02:28:36 +0000 UTCI don't really see that. The entire thing Anthony tries to stress to the colony is that everyone is free to make their own decisions. Enid made her decision. While I definitely see him being sad about it, I don't see him doing that in light of how important free will is to him. He's even insistent about Crinis, Tiny, and Invidia being independent and making their own decisions. I just don't see it.
